Decking

Down stand Beam Slabs are time consuming and difficult to construct. They should be constructed using the most versatile formwork and support work solutions or by using combinations of the different systems.

Depending on the concrete thickness, bridge decks are supported on one of, or a combination of, the modular support work systems supplied by Form-Scaff such as Kwik-Stage, Super-Scaff or Super-Stage.

Coffer Slabs (Waffled Slabs) of up to 0.825m thick can be easily supported and cost-effectively formed using the high quality Glass Fibre Coffers on either the Kwik-Strip or Kwik-Deck systems.

Domed Slabs, found mainly on reservoirs, are usually supported on Kwik-Stage, radiused scaffold tubes and a combination of Deck Panels and Plywood infills. Form-Scaff is able to design the most cost effective layout to suit the concrete dimensions.

Flat Slabs can be formed with anyone of Form-Scaff's three Decking Systems depending on the requirement - From the fast erect and fast strike Kwik-Deck system to the versatile Multi-Form system to the traditional Kwik-Strip system.

Elevated heavy slabs up to 2.0m thick can be designed and formed using Econo-Form Panels and bearers on the Super-Stage system.

Heavy Civil Slabs

Sloping Slabs can be formed with any of Form-Scaff's decking systems. The Plywood faced Kwik-Deck system will provide a "smooth" concrete finish and can support a slab thickness of up to 0.86m.

Forming large repetitive decks is best done using either Table Forms or Flying Forms.

Tables & Flying Forms

These complex slabs, often heavy, thick and full of beams can be formed using the versatile Multi-Form system due to its high loading capabilities. Any of Form-Scaff's support work systems can be used to support the formwork.

Trough Slabs or single span Waffled Slabs are formed when Glass Fibre Trough units are placed on top of the Kwik-Strip system. Trough Slabs of up to 0.75m thick can be easily supported and cost-effectively formed using the high quality Glass Fibre Troughs.
